All About Williston, VT
Our practice is located in Williston, VT. This little town has a population of just over 10,000 people. It was chartered in 1763 and named after Samuel Willis, a merchant from New York who was one of the original 65 grantees. He never visited the town that was named in his honor.
Williston is notable for a collection of well-preserved nineteenth-century brick religious and civil buildings. These include the “old Brick Church” built in 1832 (which is considered one of the finest country Gothic churches of Vermont), the Universalist Church of 1860 that was converted to the Town Hall, the Methodist Church of 1848 that was converted into the Town Annex, and the former town hall built in 1840.
