Barbara Rakow, Registered Dental Hygienist, is a graduate of The University of Vermont. Barbara has been practicing for over 20 years. As a Dental Hygienist Barbara places particular focus on Periodontics, and believes in the therapeutic benefits of providing excellent care.
Barbara hails from Rutland County where she lives with her husband Jimbo and their lovely fur babies. Barbara likes Pina Coladas and getting caught in the rain. She has a trained Beta Fish that jumps through hoops. She also is particularly fond of marshmallows and unicorns.
Barbara believes in individualizing treatments in order to provide the most effective outcomes.
Gretchen comes from a highly varied background with an original degree in Geology and Mathematics with previous experience as an Environmental Geologist, Registered Dental, Dental Office Manager, and Mathematics Professor before settling on Dental Hygiene.
Gretchen is passionate about community and teaching, volunteering on numerous boards and is involved in community action. She also has been an active member of the Vermont Dental Hygiene Association since becoming a hygienist in 2010.
Gretchen enjoys hiking, skiing, camping, gardening, sewing, reading, and hanging out with her mini-pit mix, “Stella”.

Jill was born and raised in southern Vermont. She lives just a hop, skip and a jump away right here in Bristol Village. She is a graduate of the University of Vermont where she earned her degree in dental hygiene as well as a B. S. in biological science. She has been practicing dental hygiene for over 20 years and has been a certified expanded functions dental assistant for 17 years. She enjoys all aspects of dentistry and patient care. Her gentle touch and chairside manner helps patients feel more relaxed and comfortable during their visit.
Outside the office she loves spending time with her husband Gary (Bristol native) and her two children Griffin and Ava. She enjoys playing soccer, and loves snowboarding,Hiking, biking, wake surfing, surfing and anything else one could think of that involves physical activity and outdoor adventure!
Rebekah is a born and raised Vermonter from Middlebury. She graduated from Middlebury Union High School in 2018. She went on to attend esthetician training at O’Brien’s Aveda Institute in Williston in 2019, attaining licensure shortly thereafter. After working as Assistant Manager at a local restaurant for almost four years she decided to apply her new-found skills elsewhere!
When she’s not working she’s painting, cooking, planning her next road trip, and being an animal mom to her hamster fur-baby Stevie.
After high school, Allison graduated from the Center of Technology for Dental Assisting program and jumped right into the field. Allison is a true Vermonter, raised in south Lincoln with her family. She loves all kinds of animals and spending her time outside either fishing, four-wheeling, or reading on the patio. Allison has a passion for helping others and enjoys increasing her knowledge however she can. She lives here in Bristol with her wife Britney, their dog Darla, and their cat Bonnie.
Shelby, was born and raised in the heart of downtown Burlington, Vermont. She recently joined our team in hopes to further her desire for knowledge in the dental industry. She also plans to attend school and become a hygienist someday. Coming to the team with a strong background in healthcare and customer service, she’s excited to take on this role of being our front desk coordinator and the first smiling face patients see coming through the door.
In her free time she loves to be outdoors fishing, hiking, boating, and hunting. The ocean is her calling, if she could, she would live at sea! She is obsessed with going to Old Orchard Beach every summer and camping. She also loves attending festivals and brewery/winery tastings.
Most importantly values spending time with family and friends.
